Wedding at Ledges Hotel
Rain couldn't dampen Craig and Jake's wedding day. Despite the weather, these two were rock solid, completely present with their friends and family and loving every moment of the day they worked so hard to plan. I learned firsthand at their engagement session how well Craig and Jake complement each other. Craig is serious, detail-oriented and paternal. Caring for others and bearing responsibility are natural extensions of who he is. Jake has a creative, earthy soul. He keeps Craig grounded. When things get tense, he reminds him to breathe. When Jake gets nervous, Craig's quiet confidence reminds him to just be.
Craig is the director of an environmental nonprofit and Jake is a photographer. The two met online and dated for three years. Jake told me at our first meeting that the day the Supreme Court ruled in favor of same-sex marriage, he knew Craig was going to propose to him that same day. And he did. Thank you Jake and Craig. It has been a true pleasure getting to know you and tell the story of one of your most important days.
