Kristin and Rob's
wedding at Rickett's Glen and Reception at Friedman Farms

Kristin and Rob had their wedding at Ricketts Glen State Park in front of the beautiful Adams Falls. These two are avid hikers and wanted to share the outdoors with their nearest and dearest on their big day. This hit close to home with Josh and I since we too had similar thoughts when we got married. For their engagement session last year, Josh hiked with them out to the spot in the Lehigh Gorge State Park where we were married (if anything to prove to them their wedding location wasn't crazy!). Kristin and Rob's family and friends lined the cliffs and watched these two tie the knot surrounded by all the glory of nature.

While in the planning stages of the wedding, Kristin had this to say:

When Rob and I were planning our wedding, we envisioned a very rustic, yet elegant feel. We searched high and low for our perfect ceremony spot. When we finally found Adams Falls, we instantly knew it was the place we were meant to be married. We also spent many hours searching the internet and visiting possible reception venues. When we came across Friedman Farms, it was like a dream come true! We are so lucky to have found a barn big enough to hold all of our family and friends, while providing the rustic/wooden feel we adore. We wanted to incorporate little touches throughout the day that let our guests know what we really love in life, which is the outdoors. Our table names all are named after places Rob and I have hiked together, and each has a paragraph reflecting a special memory there. Our favors are little potted plants and our centerpieces are meant to look like we just picked up a piece of the earth and put it on our tables.

They carried the outdoors theme back to their reception at Friedman Farms and florist and wedding coordinator Carol Matrazzo of Still Creek staged everything perfectly. It was so cool to see Josh and I have hiked many of the same trails their tables were named for.
