wedding at Woodloch Resort

Jodi and Justin had a beautiful lake-side wedding at Woodloch Resort (aka Woodloch Pines) in Hawley, PA. We've photographed weddings at Woodloch in all seasons but autumn prior to this wedding. I was amazed at the difference the fall color made! The ceremony site was so serene yet practically on fire with light and color. The weather was warm and sunny with not much wind. It was hard to believe how perfect it was!
Jodi and Justin planned a fun-filled weekend getaway for their nearest and dearest. When planning the wedding, Jodi and Justin had this to say:
We wanted an entire weekend get away and will be doing a fire and s'mores the night before the wedding after the rehearsal dinner. We envision our wedding to be a happy, fun gathering of people we love. We chose to have it in the fall for the beautiful colors of the leaves that will be around. It is an outdoor wedding by a lake with a cocktail hour on a porch right next to the wedding spot. The reception will be through the doors of porch. Nice, easy and close.
One part of the day that wasn't what they initially planned was the first look. Justin is a pretty romantic guy and he was hoping for the aisle to be the first place he saw his bride on their wedding day. However, after considering the timing of their ceremony (which wrapped up just before sunset), he came around to the idea of doing portraits earlier that day. Otherwise, it seems their wedding turned out just how they envisioned it! Jodi's uncle officiated the ceremony, adding a personal feel to the proceedings. DJ Billy D did a great job of keeping the action going on the dance floor. And as always, the staff at Woodloch were extremely professional, friendly and helpful and made sure everything went off without a hitch (thanks Cara!).
