Sarah and Zach had a beautiful wedding under two giant sycamore trees behind the Hunting Hill Mansion at Ridley Creek State Park. The atmosphere was elegant and the ceremony full of emotion. In the ceremony and toasts, we heard reference more than once to what passionate people Sarah and Zach both are and they went on to demonstrate by kicking off a non-stop party with their nearest and dearest right after dinner. The dance floor remained packed for the entire evening after Sarah and Zach got things going with Technotronic's Pump Up the Jam. When we met them for their engagement session in Jim Thorpe, I have to admit, they seemed a bit more reserved!
From the groom:
I think we're trying to strike a balance between fun and appropriate. We also wanted to be true to who we are - with some personal touches throughout. For instance, we don't have a florist, because Sarah wants to put her green thumb to work and provide everyone with take-home centerpieces in terracotta pots. Zach designed and had printed our save-the-dates, our invites, programs, etc. The ideal wedding is memorable, sweet, full of love, and has a rocking dance floor.Throughout the day, Sarah and Zach had this way of seeming to be in the midst of taking things seriously, then they would break into a silly pose to make each other (or others) laugh. By the time they made it to the dance floor, everyone was ready to cut loose. This was a fun loving group of people who needed little prompting to keep pace with the bride and groom. In addition to all the action on the dance floor, we ran a photo booth at the event that was a hit!
Aside from heartfelt and action packed, I would describe Sarah and Zach's wedding as uniquely theirs. They weren't afraid to break with tradition. As Zach mentioned, they had no florist - Sarah and her bridesmaids carried no flowers and the reception details were very clean and simple. Instead of cake, they had their caterer whip up some homemade chocolate chip cookies which they served with vanilla ice cream (yum!). Congratulations Zach and Sarah! Based on what you envisioned, I'd say you pulled off your perfect day:-) Scroll on to check out some of our favorite moments below.
