Melissa and Tom's wedding in Brooklyn was an adventure for us. It was probably the most photojournalist-style shooting we've ever done. And it was great! As I mentioned in their engagement session post, Tom is an old friend and we were glad to reconnect and be a part of this big moment in his life. Melissa also brought in an old friend to be a part of the wedding team of professionals, the amazingly talented Jennie Knaggs.  Jennie and her partner Nick Schillace (who together make up the duo Lac La Belle) provided the music for the early part of the evening. It was a pleasure to meet and listen to them. Later, Melissa stepped in as DJ and got the party going on the dance floor.

The atmosphere was relaxed and fun. Tom and Melissa opted for some very cool personal touches, like the jaw harp favors, type writer and polaroid guest book, and doughnuts in lieu of traditional wedding cake. The bunches of lavender on the tables were not only pretty, but smelled delicious! And speaking of delicious, the caterer did a fantastic job. This plein air, family-style meal was one of the best we've ever experienced at a wedding. Thanks for feeding us guys! Scroll on to check out some of our favorite photos from the day.
