Rachel and Luke's
engagement session at Pocono Lake Preserve
In my opinion, the Quakers are pretty cool. We share a lot of values in common with these folks and Josh and I were pretty excited to meet Rachel and Luke at the private Quaker-owned community in the Pocono mountains where their wedding will take place in September. Rachel gave us the tour of her family's 3 or 4 generations-old cabin where she'll be getting ready on her wedding day and we checked out the outdoor chapel in the woods where the ceremony will be and the rustic great hall that will host the reception. And Luke schooled us on the fishing! They timed their engagement session for the opening day of walleye season. In a post session update we learned that he didn't catch any walleye, but had plenty of luck with the trout:-) Check out some of our favorites from the session below.
I referred Rachel because you always do such beautiful work. This shoot was no exception. The reflections photo is fantastic! I love the colors and warmth presented, they really look amazing with Rachel's brilliant hair color. I look forward to seeing the wedding photos!
