Molly and Tanner
wedding and reception at the Settler's Inn
in Hawley, PA
Poconos wedding photography
Tanner and Molly are both romantics at heart. Their day was punctuated by countless small gestures, all of which required a considerable amount of planning and energy, and demonstrated their love for each other as well as their friends and family. Poetry seemed to be a common language that day, the highlight being Tanner's poem to Molly that he read during the ceremony. Perhaps it is little wonder that the couple works for Disney, a company that fuels the dreams of people all over the world. Their wedding was truly inspired by their romantic vision.
Highlights: The couple did a first meeting which Molly termed "the reveal." This means they met before the ceremony to do their portraits. We posted a couple of our favorite photos from that wonderful moment before the portrait session began.
The setting was perfect for a fall wedding. The small town of Hawley was decorated in a harvest theme for their annual fall festival. If we've said it before, we'll say it again- the Settler's Inn is one of the best wedding venues in the Poconos. The food was excellent as always and serving it family style was a nice touch. The Inn also did a great job with the desert spread, which featured mainly seasonal pies but included two adorable house made pumpkin cakes.
The bride's cascading one strap wedding gown by Alfred Angelo was lovely and Tanner looked sharp in the fedora he donned for the reception. To the bride's surprise, the fedora served as one of the props the groom used in a choreographed dance-serenade set to a medley of Michael Jackson songs. And the sparkler send off made for a sweet parting and a grand finale indeed.
