Kate and Thomas'
wedding at the Pocono Lake Preserve
For two people who spend their time studying space, Kate and Thomas are a pretty down to earth couple. Josh learned that they are both astronomers at their engagement session this spring. They wanted a beautiful outdoor location for their ceremony and they found that in the woods at the Quaker worship grove at the Pocono Lake Preserve. They made the wedding a whole-weekend event, inviting everyone out for the rehearsal dinner, a wedding day cookout, some wedding-day games (kickball!) and a post-wedding brunch. It was really important to them to spend as much time with their loved ones as possible. They were going for an outdoorsy/rustic vibe and they dressed up the lovely wooden interior of the dining camp with centerpiece flower arrangements made by Kate's mother.During the planning stages, Kate and Thomas said their ideal wedding was relaxed and full of beautiful scenery. The Preserve provided plenty of beautiful backdrops for their day, but it was the DPNAK team that delivered on the relaxation. Her and her crew were on top of every detail so that the bride and groom didn't have to be. This was our first time working with Danielle and her planning was so thorough, we didn't have to come up with our own timeline for the day. That's never happened. It was pretty nice. Thanks again Danielle!
Josh shot this one with second shooting help from Michael McNett. Thanks Mike for doing a bang up job! And thank you Kate and Thomas for trusting us to capture the story of your day in photos. Scroll on to check out some of our favorite moments!

We found Josh and Amber because they had done a wedding at our venue before (which is somewhat rare) and we thought they did a great job there, so we decided to investigate and we are SO glad we found them! They were absolutely wonderful to work with throughout the whole process and our photos came out absolutely gorgeous. We were looking for people to capture the emotion, love, and beautiful scenery that we incorporated into our day and Josh and the second photographer (Mike) both did a phenomenal job. They were fun, professional, and great at herding the masses of our family and friends for family photos into place to get perfect shots. I cannot stop looking at our photos-- they are so good!! I cannot say enough good words about them. Highly, highly recommended!
