Jill and Dren's wedding at ArtsQuest

Jill and Dren's
wedding at ArtsQuest

Jill and Dren had friends and family from far and wide join them for their wedding at ArtsQuest in Bethlehem. They both have loved ones from all over the country, but the guestlist was international. Dren is Albanian so his crew came mainly from there and other parts of Europe while Jill had a small group from Japan where she worked several years ago. Jill and Dren are so kind and always laughing - it is no surprise that these two inspired so many to travel so far to wish them well and party down with them on their big day!

Jill admitted up front that she and Dren could be a little "silly." Many of the photos below capture the two of them goofing around and having fun together. By the end of portraits, my cheeks hurt from smiling so much! When planning their day, Jill had this to say:
We are surrounded by so much love-- and we're just excited to have people from so many areas of our lives to be in the same room. I want the pictures to capture everyone having a wonderful time celebrating life and love. And as you know from our engagement shoot, we're very much in love and can be silly--- so our ideal wedding is an embodiment of that. For us, the focus is not on the rituals or traditions, but on the people who are able to share in our day.
We started the day at Hotel Bethlehem, heading down to the ruins by Monocacy Creek to do a first look and portraits. Then we headed over to the Japanese Garden for a few photos in a nod to Jill's time in Japan. ArtsQuest and the Steel Stacks provided a hip modern backdrop for the ceremony and reception. This crew was ready to party! Scroll on to check out some of our favorite moments from the day.

You dont typically see Grooms writing reviews for their wedding photographers :) so that should speak enough for itself that I'm not hesitating a bit to say JFAB team are a Dream Team!

I could get into details of their flexibility, professionalism, coolness, easy-going nature, etc etc - but I'll just share one instance of Josh and Amber going above and beyond: my wife got some dirt on the back of her wedding dress while posing next to an old building, and instead of ignoring it or worse panicking for it will constantly be on bride's mind if left unaddressed, Amber took my bride to freshen up inside the hotel, found a helpful person to wash the stain off, and took awesome pictures during the experience!

They knew exactly how much time to spend on different sites, without making us feel rushed nor bored. They managed to capture with such ease the essence of our wedding which was love and friendship!

Great experience: Josh and Amber are highly recommended photographers for your special day.
