Joey's senior portraits

Senior Portraits in Jim Thorpe
I love shooting senior sessions. In my imaginary portraits-only studio, senior portraits is one of my specialties:-) The location for this session was very special to Joey and his mother. Joey's dad, who worked at Mauch Chunk Lake for over 30 years, passed away roughly a year ago. We started the session off at their family's favorite cabin, where their adorable shitzu Trouble made a cameo appearance in the photos. Joey loves the outdoors (especially hunting and fishing) so we snapped a few photos of him working on his fly casting. All along the way, I put his mother Shelly to work helping hold a light or reflector occasionally or to try to get Joey to crack a smile. You can't tell from the photos, but Joey is a bit handicapped at the moment. He is in the process of healing from a broken foot and took his walking cast off for the session. Between me being 9 months pregnant and Joey under orders to keep weight off his injured foot, I don't know who Shelly was more worried about! We had a blast though. Scroll on to check out some of my favorite photos from the session.
