Hard to believe we were only minutes from Norristown on this super fun engagement session. We bush whacked to a creek, got cozy on the lawn of an abandoned mansion and kicked around the dust at an old dairy farm. Karen and Bill brought a few outfits and we went for a hike. Check out the killer light and scenery in these shots- not to mention a very cute couple, very much in love.

Rochelle and John's wedding was full of surprises- some planned, some unplanned. Perhaps the biggest surprise for their friends and family came earlier this year when the couple announced that they were legally married by an Elvis impersonator in Vegas. Their spontaneity and sense of adventure carried over into the details of the wedding celebration at their family's church in PA and the amazing reception that followed.

A few of our favorite highlights (referenced in the photos below):  A potato sack race hopped through our portrait session with the groomsmen. Guests were treated to a surprise performance by a local Elvis impersonator during the couple's first dance. It was kept a secret that the lower portion of the bride's dress was detachable. The couple had it altered so that it would come undone with the pull of a ribbon and the groom did so during the couple's second dance together- a surprise choreographed high energy salsa dance. I overheard a guest exclaim, "It's like Dancing with the Stars!" Indeed. After the cake was cut, the guests were invited back out onto the terrace for a half hour long fireworks display.
