When we first met Jim and Emily, everything just felt right. If such a thing as love at first sight exists between photographers and their clients, then perhaps that was it. Actually, we are fortunate to share a similar bond with most of our clients. On a day as important and intimate as a wedding day, it helps to have a good vibe going between the bride and groom and the photographers, who quite possibly spend more time with the couple that day than any other guest. With Jim and Emily, it was almost as if some one who understood that we would be a good fit for one another introduced us. But I guess it was a bit more random than that.

Jim and Emily met before their Doylestown wedding to do portraits downtown. We had a blast walking around the Main and State St. area utilizing local landmarks such as the County Theater, Star Garden and the Mercer Museum. After the wedding, everyone traveled the short distance to the beautiful Pearl S. Buck Estate in Dublin. Weddings at Pearl S. Buck are managed by the Bucks County event management group Open Aire Affairs, who manages several wedding sites and banquet locations in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Reception highlights included a show stopping atmosphere, touching and hilarious toasts by the best man and maid of honor, a surprise performance by Irish step dancers and Jim's moves on the dance floor (some of which he apparently honed during multiple appearances on the late television show "Soul Train").

Other details: Flowers were provided by Bucks County florists Murphy and Klein. Food and drink were handled by Newtown wedding caterers Temperance House. Emily's dress was by Jasmine Couture.
