Winter in Eugene...Finally!

Being from Pennsylvania, I am used to snow. In fact, I look forward to real seasonal change. Eugene generally has three seasons: Warm and Dry, Cold and Wet and Warm and Wet. But this Sunday, we were surprised with a bona fide snow storm, accumulating 6-8 inches! So Ada, Josh and I got out the snow pants! Click on the photo to enlarge.

New Year, New Blog

Josh, Ada and I are safely back in Eugene after an extended stay in Pennsylvania. We hear folks back in PA are feeling pretty chilly these days. My dad said it was 9 degrees when he left for work this morning.

Just two weeks ago, we were back East enjoying some unseasonably warm weather. Josh, Ada and I lucked out and had a few warm days before we left. The inspiration for the title bar of this blog came from a series of images we made while on a picnic with my mother at Hopewell Furnace, a national historic site in south-central PA. What a gift it was to bask in 65 degree sunshine in January.

Through sharing simple vignettes of our life and photos, I hope this blog will bring us closer to our friends, family and clients.
