Bin-Bin and Dan | Engaged!

Bin-Bin and Dan's
engagement session in Jim Thorpe

It was so fun to meet Bin-Bin and Dan last week! They came up from the Philly area prepared with a sweet save-the-date idea. You see, Bin-Bin practices archery as a hobby, so she and Dan planned a photo sequence based around this. They are both in somewhat technical lines of work, so I shouldn't be surprised, but I was impressed with the level of detail with which they planned their props. They even thought to bring a cordless drill and spare granny smiths to make sure they got the perfect shot of the arrow through the apple!

Rachel and Chris | Engaged!

Rachel and Chris'
engagement session in Jim Thorpe

OK - It's a new year. In 2012, I (Amber) got really good at making sure to blog every shoot. I love to share my favorite photos from each session. It feels really good to get them out there and share my excitement for each individual, each couple, each day, all the little moments and details... But in order to make sure that I posted from every shoot, I stopped getting hung up on writing, since it takes a good deal of time to do so. No more. I am going to try to take the time to write a bit of back story on each entry this year, starting now.

Rachel is a dear old friend and I am so happy for her. We worked together at a very intense job. She was my partner in leading teen age at-risk girls on "adventure" experiences in the wilderness. This was no normal 9-5 job. We spent 2 and a half days straight together, every week, for maybe a year and a half. We got to know each other pretty well but fell out of touch when Rachel left to take on a new job.

Fast forward to now. It is so nice to see her again and meet Chris and see how happy they are together. I'm looking forward to being a part of their big day!
