wedding reception at Normandy Farm
Karen and Bill are an amazing couple. Josh and I met them at the end of the night at a bridal show in Bucks County. They didn't have a date or location yet, but we hit it off and they were kind enough to remember us when they were ready to book their photographer. We got to know them better in the summer of 2010 when we shot their engagement portraits at East Norriton Farm Park (where we also shot some of their wedding portraits). It was obvious they put a lot of thought into planning for the session. Karen had her sister over to help her get ready for the session and they greeted us with mojitos and hors d'oeuvres. We generally recommend having a drink before an e-session, but they went above and beyond! We planned to shoot at the farm park since it was near their home and they often went there to hang out. It also happened to be the place where Bill proposed to Karen. We were able to capture some amazing photos that day. Be sure to check them out.
Fast forward to Memorial Day weekend 2011 and to Karen and Bill's hot and humid wedding day. Their friends and family gathered at Normandy Farm to get ready for the celebration that would take place there later that night. Karen and Bill picked the beautiful and historic St. Peter's Church in North Wales for their ceremony and their officiant gave a very funny and heart warming service. We headed back to the farm park in East Norriton for the wedding photos with the party. When we arrived back at Normandy Farm, we took some fun shots when Bill got his guitar out to play for Karen. The couple had their first dance to a song written and performed by the groom in honor of his bride. The details, food and service were excellent- Normandy Farm does a great job. Scroll on to check out some of our favorite images from Karen and Bill's special day!
